H7/g6 fit: close running (sliding) fit
Precise sliding or rotating parts with little play: locating pins that must come out by hand, sliding gears, spigots, precision guides.

| >3–6 | +12 / 0 | -4 / -12 | +24 | +4 |
| >6–10 | +15 / 0 | -5 / -14 | +29 | +5 |
| >10–18 | +18 / 0 | -6 / -17 | +35 | +6 |
| >18–30 | +21 / 0 | -7 / -20 | +41 | +7 |
| >30–50 | +25 / 0 | -9 / -25 | +50 | +9 |
| >50–80 | +30 / 0 | -10 / -29 | +59 | +10 |
| >80–120 | +35 / 0 | -12 / -34 | +69 | +12 |
Negative clearance means interference. Example: a Ø20 H7/g6 fit has a hole of 20.000–20.021 mm and a shaft of 19.980–19.993 mm.
On the drawing
Write the fit after the size: Ø20 H7 on the hole and Ø20 g6 on the shaft. Shops ream H7 holes routinely; tight shaft grades usually need fine turning or grinding.
